The Commerce Department within the Ministry of Finance, the Economy and Investment is receiving nominations for the national phase of the European Enterprise Awards. The two entities which distinguish themselves will be nominated for the second phase of the awards organised by the European Commission

The European Enterprise Awards identify and recognise Public Entities and Business Organisations which assist Enterprises and the Business Sector throughout Europe. To qualify for the Awards the entity nominated must have taken initiatives which left tangible results over the last two years. The initiatives taken must fall under one of the following five categories:

1: Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit:

2: Investing in skills:

3: Improving the business environment

4: Supporting the internationalisation of business

5: Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship

Deadline must reach Commerce Department, Lascaris, Valletta, VLT 2000 by 6th November 2009.
